Silverstone Preview

Looking forward to this weekends racing.

After a 2 month break the Neil Garner Motorsport team will be back in action this weekend at Silverstone, the home of British motorsport. The lengthy break since Snetterton has given the team the opportunity to get the Mosler back into tip top shape after the Oulton Park accident back in July and they are raring to get their championship back on track with two race wins this weekend.

Following a disappointing last round at Snetterton the team has to bounce back with 2 wins. Speaking after the race professional driver Javier Morcillo rejected any possibility of Manuel standing down at Silverstone leaving Javier to run both races solo.

"This is a pro-am championship and we are racing for our amateur drivers. It is a race to see who can make their amateur driver a better driver. This championship will die if the pro drivers start to race solo."

At Silverstone both Manuel Cintrano and Javier Morcillo will be aiming to respond in the only way they know how and will be pushing for 2 clear victories in Saturdays races. With the team currently 22 points behind the leaders in the overall standings with just 4 races left, outright victory on Saturday is a must.

Looking forward to Silverstone Javier said, "For the next race we have a new alternator and a new paint job and the same aim to come out and try to win the race and to enjoy ourselves." It's Silverstone and we love it there so we are going to try to have fun."

As well as running the Mosler this weekend, the Neil Garner team will also be offering support to Motionsport who return to the Britcar Championship with their Wolf CN piloted by Pete Storey and James Fletcher. With the possibility that Rollcentre Racing will also enter their Mosler for this race plus former Neil Garner Motorsport driver Jay Sheppard also returning to the series to partner Nigel Mustill in the Riley, there is the prospect of a hotly contested class 1 race.

Racing will take place on the Grand Prix circuit with race 1 getting underway at midday and race 2 following at 16.30.
