Britcar Thruxton Preview

The NGMSport Mosler in action at Silverstone.>

NGMSport return to Thruxton this weekend for the first time since 2011 with a full weekend of action in the Britcar Championship. Having missed the last round at Donington the Mosler will return to the Dunlop Endurance Championship on Sunday with Javier Morcillo and Manuel Cintrano sharing the driving in the 2 hour race.

However fans will also get to see the car in Saturday's GT and Production races when Manuel will enjoy some solo driving duties. The car has recently had a new engine fitted at the Kemble headquarters of NGMSport and the short Saturday races offer the perfect opportunity to test the new powerplant before the big race on Sunday.

Missing this weekend will be the Renault RS01 of Nick Holden and Andrew McKenna which was suffering with gearbox problems at the previous round. With the required parts to solve the problem held up in France it was reluctantly decided to skip the race at Thruxton. Hopefully the Renault will be back for the next round at Croft at the end of July.
