Two Podiums at Snetterton

NGMsport and Holden Autosport celebrated a successful weekend in the Dunlop British Endurance Championship at Snetterton with Nick Holden achieving podiums in both races on Sunday. Driving his supercharged Ariel Atom, Holden's day was almost cut short when a split in the exhaust system put an early end to qualifying. With a fourth place grid position secured the team had a little under two hours to repair the damage.

With the split welded up the Atom took to the track in race one and successfully held the P4 starting position through the first corner and on into the race. A strong drive from Holden saw him move up to P2 after a fight with the Moss Motorsport BMW. A smooth pit stop with just 20 minutes of the race remaining didn't threaten the hard fought position allowing Holden an easy run to the line and his first podium of the day.

Race two saw the Atom start from the front of the grid and whilst the FF Corse Ferrari built a commanding lead, Holden held onto P2 for 30 minutes before being caught and passed by the class two Porsche 997. The temporary repair to the exhaust was giving the Atom a throaty rasp but any concerns that it wouldn't complete the race were dismissed with Holden crossing the line in P3 claiming his second podium of the weekend.

NGMsport will be back in action in a fortnight as the Supercar Challenge leaves mainland Europe and visits Brands Hatch on the 12th and 13th of September. This will probably be the only chance this year that our Mosler MT900 will be racing in the UK and what better place than the full Brands Hatch GP circuit and piloted by our ever popular drivers Manuel Cintrano and Javier Morcillo.
