NGMSport returned to British shores at the weekend with a trip to Donington Park. After 3 months of visiting European circuits with the Supercar Challenge the team went to the East Midlands with the Holden Autosport Ariel Atom driven by Nick Holden.

A full day of testing saw the team and driver take some dramatic leaps forward and by the end of the day Holden had knocked 4 seconds off his laptime.

Qualifying saw the team put everything they learned into practise and Holden was able to grab P6 on the grid and from the start of race 1 the Atom was fighting for 5th place. By the end of the 90 minute race he had fought his way to P4 overall and P2 in class.

Race 2 started in a similar way however with 20 minutes remaining Holden was in P3 overall but being chased down by the Saxon Motorsport BMW 150 GTR. With the gap down to 7 seconds Holden responded and matched the lap times of his pursuer before building a gap that at the chequered flag was over 10 seconds.

The hard work by the whole team from testing and through qualifying once again paid dividends with a well deserved overall podium place. Holden Autosport Ariel Atom
