Spa Francorchamps Preview

NGMsport will be at Spa Francorchamps this weekend for the start of a busy three week period which will see the team compete in three different countries on three iconic circuits with three different cars. Next week the team will be at the Circuit De La Sarthe with the Motionsport Aston Martin competing in the Le Mans 24 hour Aston Martin support race.

Following that they will head to the Netherlands and Zandvoort with Nick Holdens Ariel Atom, but before all of that will be the much anticipated return trip to the Belgian Ardennes and the next round of Supercar Challenge.

With Javier Morcillo and Manuel Cintrano back at the circuit where 12 months ago in the Britcar race they converted a pole position into a race win the team will be hopeful of similar success this weekend. After a promising debut in the championship at Zolder where strong drives were thwarted by a puncture and a broken driveshaft, the team are confident they can get a good result at a circuit they know well.

The attraction of Spa Francorchamps for any driver means for this next round the team can expect a challenging weekend competing against an eclectic field of Volvo S60's, Dodge Vipers, Corvettes and Ferraris. With the Mosler showing at Zolder that it had the pace to run with the leaders the team are hopeful that the drivers experience at Spa will be enough to bag a podium finish.

Friday saw the team complete a constructive test session which saw the Mosler post the 5th fastest time in a competitive field lead by Renault's latest racer, the RS01 which completed the session 5 seconds ahead of it's nearest challenger.

As at Zolder, the weekend will involve a single qualifying session on Saturday morning followed by a 60 minute race in the afternoon. On Sunday the team can afford to relax with just one 60 minute race in the afternoon. Qualifying will start at 10:15 with race one at 14:20 and race two on Sunday at 14:25.
