Zolder Preview

This weekend will see the return to competitive action of Manuel Cintrano and Javier Morcillo in the NGMsport Mosler. The team will be heading to Belgium for the first of several drives in the Supercar Challenge with their debut in the series coming at the Belgium circuit of Zolder.

The real challenge will be for the drivers who will have just one practise day to learn the contours of a circuit neither driver has visited before. The 2.492 mile track in Heusden-Zolder, close to the town of Hasselt has 10 corners with a mix of sweeping turns and tight corners.
Opening in 1963 and having hosted the Belgium Grand Prix on 10 occasions in the 1970's and 1980's Zolder has also hosted rounds of the FIA GT Championship, World Series by Renault and even a Champ Car World Series Grand Prix in 2007.

This weekend see's it hosting the ever popular Supercar Challenge. Originally known as the Dutch Supercar Challenge, the series visits circuits around the Benelux region of Europe with occasional visits to the UK. In 2015 the championship will be visiting Spa Francorchamps, Zandwoort, Assen, Brands Hatch and of course Zolder.

With a number of different race categories the NGMsport Mosler will be competing in the Super GT Class facing such competition as a Dodge Viper, Corvette ZE1 GT1, two Volvo S60 V8's and one other Mosler. Also on track will be the GTB class which includes a diverse range of machinery including Porsche 997 Cup cars, Lamborghini Gallardos, a Ferrari 458 Challenge and even a KTM X-Bow.

The race weekend will consist of two 1 hour races plus practise and qualifying and will mark a new challenge for drivers and team.
