Britcar 2014, Silverstone

This weekend will see NGMsport return to competitive action in the MSA British Dunlop Endurance Championship at Silverstone. Whilst the Mosler is taking a break from the championship, the team will be twice as busy running the Motionsport Wolf GB08 in class 1 and an Ariel Atom in class 2.

Driving the Wolf will be Motionsports regular driver Pete Storey and 2014 Ginetta GT5 runner up Ollie Chadwick who will be having his second competitive drive in the Italian prototype. A successful visit to Silverstone earlier in the week saw both drivers complete a full testing programme where the car proved itself to be both fast and reliable. Describing the car after the test as "absolutely awesome" Chadwick will be aiming to start his 2015 campaign with a victory on Saturday.

Saturday's race will also see the team running a second car in the shape of an Ariel Atom which will compete in class 2. Driven by Nick Holden this will be his second year competing in Britcar after debuting the Atom in last year's Britcar Trophy Championship. Whilst not competing in the full 2014 season Nick finished in 13th place including a second place finish on the Silverstone GP circuit.

The team will get their first sight of the brand new Atom on Friday when it is delivered from the factory for its first ever shakedown. With just one day to test the car the team can expect to have their hands full over the race weekend.

Looking forward to the race Neil Garner said, "It's great to be back running cars in Britcar with 2 potential class winning cars…. The Wolf will be class 1 and the Atom class 2 along with some very capable drivers. We're looking forward to a great season ahead."

Both 90 minutes races will be held on the Silverstone national circuit on Saturday 28th March. Qualifying starts at 9:50am with race 1 starting at 12:45 and race 2 kicking off at 4:30pm. Tickets will be available on the gate priced at £10.
